Greetings Columbia Middle School Stakeholders,
We are providing multiple opportunities for your input for our FY19 Title I Parent and Family Engagement Stakeholder meetings.  Our first opportunity will include a survey link that is provided in this email and on the school website.  We also will have laptops available for you to take the surveys in person at the school during the Columbia Cluster Night at Columbia Middle School on August 16 from 6:00-7:00p.m., our GA Milestones Parent Night on August 23 from 5:30-7:30p.m. and our PTSA Meeting on August 30 from 6:00-7:00p.m.  The survey link is below.

2018-2019 CMS Uniform Changes
Please view the attached uniform letter for the 2018-2019 school year.
Each grade level will wear a specific uniform combination:
6th – White tops and khaki brown, navy blue, black bottoms, or jeans.
7th – Orange tops and khaki brown, navy blue, black bottoms, or jeans.
8th – Navy or royal blue tops and khaki brown, navy blue, black bottoms, or jeans.

All shoes must be safe and appropriate for the learning environment. Students may wear their choice of athletic, low-heeled, or flat shoes.
Students must wear athletic shoes in all PE classes and/or outdoor activities.
Sandals, Crocs, slippers, flip flops, open toe shoes, thong sandals, stilettos and the like are NOT permitted to be worn on campus.  

Students will not be allowed to wear the following items:
Clothing that depicts drug use and profanity 
No ripped or torn jeans
Tights or stretch pants
Flip flops or slides
Tank tops or t-shirts
Scarves or bandanas on their heads or on their bodies
Skirts that are no higher than 2” above the knee
